March 24 - Pasta Packing Project

How would you like to be a part of a group that hopes to assemble 10,000 Savory Italian Basil Pasta meals to fight hunger in Berks County? If that sounds like fun to you, sign up on the bulletin board to participate from 10 am to noon on March 24th.  The event will be held at Christ Mertz and is open to those 10 years old an up. We will also need help setting up and cleaning up. Please make note the times you are able to help when signing up.  See Carla with any questions.

March 31 - Easter Egg Hunt

Easter is approaching fast.  We are asking for donations of candy for the Easter Egg Hunt on March 31st.  Please bring donations with you to worship or to the church office by Friday, March 30th.  The confirmation class and other helpers will be filling the eggs here after worship at 8 pm.

April 22 - Family Movie Afternoon

Come join us Saturday, April 22 for a Family Movie Afternoon.  Look for more information to come!

June 18-22 Vacation Bible School

VBS is coming to Christ Mertz June 18-22!  We're looking for volunteers to help plan, organize and work.  See Carla for more information.

Youth Readers Needed

We'd like to involve the children more in worship by having them read the Prayer of the Day before the Children's Sermon.  If your child would like to read, please sign up on the bulletin board in the narthex.

Backpack Program

The Brandywine School District is starting a program to send home backpacks of food over the weekend for children in the free and reduced meal program. We've been asked to provide individual MICROWAVALBE servings of spaghetti and meatballs (microwavable 7.5 oz cups), mac and cheese (microwavable cups) and individual soups (microwavable, any variety).  Powdered milk, oatmeal cups and individual cereal cup are also being collected. The brand is not important, just the size and the micorwavableness.  No child should be hungry, and this is one way to help.  Thanks!
