Snacks for Sunday
If you (or a group of you) would like to sign up to bring snacks for some Sunday, that would be great. There's a sign-up sheet on the bulletin board. We're also accepting packs of cookies or other snacks that can be stored for Sundays when no one is signed up. Snacks don't need to be anything elaborate, just something to munch on with or without coffee.
Music for Summer
Please consider signing, playing or reading something special for summer worships. All ages are welcome! Kindly sign up on the bulletin board. Any questions, see Barbara.
Preaching for the Summer
We will continue our summer sermon series with the following Dr. Seuss stories:
July 7 - Hop on Pop
July 14 - OUTDOOR WORSHIP AT BOWERS PARK - NO WORSHIP SERVICE HERE THAT DAY!!
July 28 - Fox in Sox
August 4 - Are You My Mother?
Don't worry, all the sermons will have a theological basis, just using Dr. Seuss stories as illustrations. Feel free to read the stories to your children ahead of time, or just reread them yourself!

July 28 - Coffee and Conversation
The next Coffee and Conversation will be July 28 after worship, and the topic will be Abortion. This is going to be a Conversation, and there's a good chance there will be folks with differing opinions, so if this is one of those topics where discussion is just too upsetting for you, you'd probably be better off skipping this one.
Youth Readers Needed
We'd like to involve the children more in worship by having them read the Prayer of the Day before the Children's Sermon. If your child would like to read, please sign up on the bulletin board in the narthex.
The Brandywine School District is starting a program to send home backpacks of food over the weekend for children in the free and reduced meal program. We've been asked to provide individual MICROWAVALBE servings of spaghetti and meatballs (microwavable 7.5 oz cups), mac and cheese (microwavable cups) and individual soups (microwavable, any variety). Powdered milk, oatmeal cups and individual cereal cup are also being collected. The brand is not important, just the size and the micorwavableness. No child should be hungry, and this is one way to help. Thanks!
We have been given an updated list of items needed to pack backpacks for next month:
Microwavable vegetables (single serving)
Snack Pack pudding
Canned meat (single serving)
Chicken Rice a Roni
Mac and Cheese (single serving)
Soup (single serving)
Cereal boxes (single serving)
Horizon 8 fl. oz. milk
Thank you for your continued support of this program!
